About Emmanuelle Ayrton:
Graphic designer, singer and illustrator, Emmanuelle is a native of Paris, France.
In 2014, members of New York’s Metropolitan Opera Orchestra commissioned Emmanuelle for drawings to bring public awareness to the musicians’ everyday life in a humourous way to try to break the image of the “stiff and stuck-up” classical musician.
Emmanuelle works to break the image of classical music (and arts) as being for only “the elite” and only interesting for an ever-aging group of people. With her approachable drawings, she hopes to promote the value of music and arts as a necessity for everyone, especially young people.
